Swimming Lessons – Year 5

The year 5 group of children, together with their teachers, are attending swimming lessons at the National Pool at tal-Qroqq, Msida.  The sessions, which are two-hour long and spread on 5 weeks, started on 18th February and will end on the 18th March.

As part of the Lent activities for this year, the school management team thought of organising a week full of activities at Dar Frate Jacoba at Marsascala.  The activities are targeted for each and every year group, so the groups are to attend on different days.

Year 1 – 11 March
Year 2 – 12 March
Year 3 – 15 March
Year 4 – 16 March
Year 5 – 17 March
Year 6 – 18 March

The workshop includes talks, art and crafts activities, singing, enjoying the lovely surroundings full of flowers, trees and animals and mass with the  participation of Ms Gertrude Vella on the guitar.

Mass and adoration in school is going to be held on 26th March.

CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES

All the Kindergarten classes, together with the Primary classes of years 1, 2, 3 and 4 held a mini concert in the school hall.  Mr Reuben Zarb took the photos and video to commemorate the event.  Ms. Rita (A parent in the school council), was this year’s Father Christmas, and the children had great fun taking pictures and receiving treats from her.  On Friday the 18th December, the whole school attended the Christmas Mass held in St. Sebastian Church.  Then, on Tuesday the 23rd, the children took part in the Christmas Procession with Baby Jesus, singing carols together with Ms Gertrude Vella and Kurt Camilleri of Year 5,  accompanying all on the guitar.  The rest of the day was spent having fun together during the Christmas Party!  Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to all.
